The Breach Response Timeline & Checklist

T = 0 Hours: Discovery & Containment
Isolate affected systems immediately. Do NOT reboot or power off servers, as this destroys volatile RAM evidence. Disconnect from the network instead.

Under the IT Act Directions 2022, severe incidents (Ransomware, Data Leaks, IT attacks) MUST be reported to CERT-In within 6 hours of noticing them.
